The event showcased the university’s world-class facilities and academic programmes, emphasising its strategic role in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area education initiative. It attracted hundreds of thousands of attendees both online and offline. Visitors had the opportunity to tour the modern campus, including its advanced teaching facilities, research laboratories and the distinctive library. Faculty members from various disciplines were present to introduce academic programmes and discuss research opportunities that combine City University of Hong Kong's international perspective with local innovation needs. At the campus, visitors engaged with interactive demonstrations, including robots and robotic dogs, while industry leaders such as China Mobile, iFLYTEK and OPPO hosted exhibition booths for networking. Additionally, the Open Day featured guided tours to nearby partner organisations, including enterprises, research institutes, and innovation hubs, offering visitors firsthand insight into the university’s industry-academia-research collaboration model. "Through this Open Day, we aim to demonstrate our commitment to providing high-quality, globally competitive education while serving the development needs of the Greater Bay Area," said Professor Li Juan Julie, Vice President (Academic) at City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan). "Our campus brings together the best of Hong Kong's academic excellence and Dongguan's vibrant innovation environment."
