Supply Chains and Resilience Professor Thomas Y Choi (Regents Professor of Arizona State University) examined layered supply network architectures on 23 January 2025, advocating regionalised models over fragile hyper-globalisation. His empirical analysis highlighted topology-driven resilience against systemic disruptions. AI Industrialisation A 17 March panel, chaired by European Academy of Sciences Fellow Professor Alex K Y Jen (CityUHK), analysed AI innovations with Professors Li Wen Jung (Vice-President (Talent & International Strategy), CityUHK) and Ma Wei-ying (Director of HKAI-Sci). Discussions spanned ethical frameworks and sectoral applications. New Space Economy Professor Alfred T K Ho (Dean, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, CityUHK) presented on 2 April a rigorous framework for new space economy commercialisation, outlining sustainable governance models and cross-sector applications. Case studies included origami-inspired aerospace engineering and satellite-driven agricultural optimisation, underscoring the sector’s role in climate resilience and infrastructure planning.
