This tour featured a deep dive into the realms of global leadership, scholarly exchanges, campus life, and the vibrant culture of Hong Kong. The excursion was punctuated with remarkable highlights, notably the participation in the CityUHK’s Distinguished Lecture and its School of Energy and Environment 15th Anniversary Symposium on Global Sustainability and Energy Innovation. The lecture was delivered by Mr Ban Ki-moon, the 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) and President of the Assembly and Chair of the Council of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), whose insights into sustainable development and energy innovation sparked a passionate engagement with critical global issues among the students. The intellectual journey continued with an enlightening seminar from Prof Li Juan Julie, Associate Vice-President of CityUHK as well as Vice President (Academic) and Chair Professor at CityUHK (DG). With a focus on the imperative of interdisciplinary learning in the age of the Internet of Everything (IoE), Prof Li skillfully navigated the discussions with the CityUHK (DG) students towards cultivating a global mindset and mastering cross-cultural communications. Also, a guided tour through CityUHK’s vibrant campus allowed the students to witness firsthand the university's cutting-edge laboratories and rich educational resources. The study tour’s narrative arc culminated in a cultural immersion on its second day, in which the students visited the Sky100 Observation Deck, the artistic allure of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the bustling streets of Central Market, and a serene ferry journey across Victoria Harbour.
